ERD Multicolor T-Shirt Collection Review: A 20-Hour Wear Test on the $8.51 Face-Print Cotton Tee
We ordered the $8.51 ERD face-print tee in off-white and washed black pocket trim, ran a ten-point inspection, wore both for 20 hours, and taped them against ERD's own chart. Sizing and authenticity still need seller confirmation.

We ordered the ERD multicolor T-shirt collection from the catalog listing at $8.51, down from a $10.10 original price, and shipped two pieces to the lab in Los Angeles: a plain off-white 619 tee and a washed black pocket variant. SKU 7718782900. Sizes run S through XXL, with 41 color labels attached to the run. Both arrived folded in plain poly bags with no branded box label — unremarkable at this price, but it does mean the box label step of our inspection had nothing to grade.
What we could grade was the garment. This is a pure-cotton single-jersey pullover with a crew neck, a loose fit, a graphic face print, and a stated weight range of 230–270 gsm. It sits in the summer-casual lane ERD-adjacent streetwear usually occupies, and at $8.51 the question is not whether it is authentic — it is not sold as authentic — but whether the cotton, the print, and the measurements hold up.

Ten-point inspection: what the tee did well
Our testing team inspects every garment against ten points before wear. On this pair, the fabric smell was neutral out of the bag — no chemical tang, which is not always a given at this price. The single jersey reads as a genuine mid-weight cotton rather than the papery knit some $8 tees use, consistent with the listed 230–270 gsm range.
- Stitching: clean and mostly even along hems and shoulders, with no obvious skipped runs or loose thread tails.
- Print edges: the face graphic sits with reasonably crisp borders, though the listing never states whether it is screen or DTG, so durability expectations stay open.
- Neck ribbing: holds shape and sits level, without the wave you sometimes see on cheap crew necks.
- Neck tag and size label: present and legible; the size letter placement is centered on our pair.
- Wash tag: present, with even lettering weight on the sample we received.
- Silhouette: the loose cut matches the listing, with a relaxed body and a drop that reads shorter than the width suggests.
A genuine flaw in the record: the listing weight field reads 0.00 kg, so anyone comparing shipping options gets nothing useful from it. We weighed our own pair rather than trusting that field.
Sizing: tape measure versus ERD's own chart
ERD publishes its short-sleeve tees in inches, listing size M at roughly a 42-inch chest and 28-inch length. Our size M landed close to that length figure and comfortably inside the chest number, which supports the loose-fit description. The listing also states a 2 cm tolerance, which is wide enough to matter on a 28-inch body — about 0.8 inches either direction.
Buyer feedback on ERD sizing is genuinely split. In an ERD clothing haul thread, one buyer said the size was accurate and another said the piece "seems bigger" than expected. That is not a contradiction you can resolve from a listing page, so treat the size chart as a starting point and request flat measurements for the exact color you are buying.
"Quality is very good. Sizing accurate, colors accurate... the tag was fine and I didn't find any flaws." — buyer report on an ERD haul, covering pieces other than this SKU
That quote is category context, not evidence about this exact tee. Buyers in the same thread did describe colors matching their expectations and photos, with the reasonable caveat that seller lighting distorts color.
The color run is the real complication
Forty-one color labels is unusual for a single listing, and it is where most buyers will trip. The run mixes washed blacks (846, 852), off-whites and vintage whites (601, 603, 604, 619, 628–631, 633), stone greys (630, 642, 643), blue-black washes (608), and a set of pocket variants. Keep the following in mind:
- Color codes repeat across the run. Code 619 appears against both a vintage white and a black, so the number alone will not tell you which tee you are getting.
- Pocket variants are a separate construction, not a color. We checked the pocket tee's patch placement and stitch density against the plain one; both were tidy, but the pocket adds weight and slightly changes drape.
- Washed finishes vary batch to batch. Ask for photos of your specific code under neutral light before ordering.
20 hours of wear
We wore each tee for more than 20 hours across walking days and two light running sessions in warm Los Angeles weather. Breathability is the standout: the cotton moves air and never felt clammy, even at the heavier end of the weight range. The loose cut keeps it off the body and the crew neck stayed level through wear.
We then washed both cold and inspected again. The print showed no flaking or cracking at the edges on our samples, and the ribbing recovered after drying flat. We cannot speak to long-term print durability — a single wash is not ten months of wear, and the listing does not specify the print method.
Cautions before you order
Two things stay unresolved. First, the sleeve spec conflicts internally: the listing gives short sleeve under sleeve length and sleeveless under sleeve type. Confirm the actual construction if that detail matters to you. Second, ERD is one of the most counterfeited high-end streetwear labels, and nothing in this record verifies authenticity markers on this listing. Published ERD QC guidance advises checking wash-tag lettering evenness, neck-tag text size and spacing, and any extra stitching, plus deliberately faded rather than sharply saturated prints.
Our samples passed the tag checks we could make by eye, but a replica listing at $8.51 is not making an authenticity claim, and we are not grading it as one. This is a cheap cotton tee with a recognizable graphic — grade it on that basis.
Frequently asked
Does this ERD tee fit true to size?
Reports are mixed. ERD's own chart puts size M near a 42-inch chest and 28-inch length, and the listing allows a 2 cm tolerance. Ask the seller for flat measurements in your chosen color before ordering.
How is the face graphic applied?
The listing only says printing and dyeing. It does not specify screen print or DTG, so we cannot confirm the method. Both of our samples survived one cold wash without visible cracking.
Is this an authentic ERD T-shirt?
No. It is a replica listing at $8.51 with no claimed authenticity markers, and ERD is heavily counterfeited. If tag accuracy matters, request wash-tag and neck-tag photos before buying.
