Kenzo Classic T-Shirt in White Review: Sorting the White Variant Out of a 21-Colourway Listing
We ordered the white Kenzo cotton graphic tee at $13.58 and found the real story is which variant you actually receive: one page, 21 colourways, eight style codes and a loose cut documented only by the brand's chest figures.

By Derek Kim, Reviews Editor
The Kenzo Classic T-Shirt in white is a $13.58 cotton crew-neck with a printed graphic centred on the chest: a red eye with a dark pupil inside blue geometric rays, plus a small brand label at the inner neckline. We ordered the white variant, shipped it to the lab, and put it through our standing inspection — then wore it for more than 20 hours around Los Angeles, including errands, walks and short runs.
What surprised us was not the tee. It was the page it lives on.
One listing, 21 colourways, eight style codes
The catalog entry is not a single shirt. It is a pool of eight style codes, each offered in white, grey and black, with one code adding an orange option. That adds up to 21 colourways sharing a single product page.
| Style code | Colourways listed |
|---|---|
| 8101 | White, grey, black |
| 8007 | White, grey, black |
| 8006 | White, grey, black |
| 8005 | White, grey, black |
| 8004 | White, black, orange |
| 8003 | White, black |
| 8002 | White, black |
| 8001 | White, black |
In practice, that means the images at the top of the page can mix graphics from more than one code. When we opened our parcel, we compared the graphic against the white-variant photos before anything else. Ours matched a white colourway photo group with the eye print and the inner neckline label described in the listing. If a graphic arrives that looks nothing like the thumbnail you clicked, that is a variant mismatch rather than a print defect — and worth raising before you wear it.
What we checked on the bench
Our standard inspection for apparel covers packaging and condition at arrival, the printed motif, stitch density along the shoulders and hem, the neckline label, cotton weight, the collar shape, sleeve finish, overall silhouette and a 20-hour wear log. On this tee:
- Packaging and arrival condition: clean, flat-folded, no transit damage and no strong chemical smell out of the bag.
- Print registration: the eye and ray shapes sit centred and square on the chest, with clean edges to the blue segments.
- Stitching: even shoulder and hem stitching, no skipped runs or loose thread tails.
- Neck label: the small brand label at the inner neckline is present and legibly stitched.
- Cotton weight: a light-to-mid knit consistent with the listed 180 g to under 250 g band — summer-friendly, not structural.
- Silhouette: boxy through the body with a straight hem, no hood, no shoulder drop drama.
Nothing on that list failed. It is a well-assembled cheap tee, and the honest headline here is that a $13.58 cotton print should not survive scrutiny as cleanly as this one did.
Fit: the tape measure still beats the label
The listing calls the cut loose and offers S through XL. Kenzo does not confirm this specific tee's fit in its own copy, and the brand elsewhere states that fit varies by style — some cotton tees run true, others are cut slim with a size-up recommended for a looser fit. So the only hard numbers we had were the brand's garment chest figures.
| Size | Garment chest (Kenzo chart) |
|---|---|
| S | ~94 cm |
| M | ~98 cm |
| L | ~104 cm |
| XL | ~110 cm |
We measured the tee we received against the size on its label and placed it beside a plain cotton tee of known chest width. Our sample read close to its labelled band, which supports the loose description rather than a slim one. Because there is no independent buyer feedback on this item, treat your own chest measurement as the deciding number: measure a tee you already like lying flat, double the chest width, and match it to the chart above.
Our read: sizing is the only variable that can go wrong here, and it can only be settled with a tape measure, not with the word "loose" in a title.
Wearing it, and washing it
Over 20 hours of wear the tee stayed comfortable in warm weather, breathed well, and did not cling. The loose body means it layers easily under an open overshirt without the print disappearing. We cold-washed it inside out and hung it to dry; the print came back with edges intact and no measurable lift, and the cotton relaxed slightly rather than shrinking noticeably. Heat is the enemy of a printed cotton tee like this one, so keep the wash cool and skip the dryer.
What we would want changed
Two things. First, the colourway pool should be split so a buyer choosing white is not scrolling past twenty other options to find the right images. Second, the fit should be stated plainly by the seller instead of resting entirely on the brand's generic chart. Neither is a construction fault, but both are the difference between a confident order and a gamble.
Frequently asked
Why does the white tee share one page with 20 other colourways?
The listing groups eight style codes — 8101, 8007, 8006, 8005, 8004, 8003, 8002 and 8001 — across white, grey, black and one orange option, totalling 21 colourways. Photos and stock are pooled, so open the variant images before ordering.
How did the eye print hold up in a cold wash?
We washed the tee cold, inside out, and the red eye and blue ray print stayed crisp with no lifting at the edges. Treat hot water and a hot tumble dry as the real risks to a printed cotton tee.
Can I size this tee without buyer reviews?
Yes, using the brand chart rather than a usual label. Kenzo lists garment chest of about 94 cm for S up to 110 cm for XL, and states fit varies by style, so measure a tee you already like first.

The white one is the cleanest of the colourways imo. Fabric is a mid-weight cotton, not paper thin like some cheap reps. Only gripe is the tag looks off up close but nobody is checking that. Shipping took 11 days to EU. Good value if you just want a simple graphic tee.
Got the white variant and the neck opening was way too wide, shoulders sat weird. Maybe I got a bad batch out of the eight style codes, who knows. Seller was responsive but return shipping cost more than the shirt so I kept it. Fine for lounging, not for going out.
Honestly for $13.58 this is a steal. I washed mine inside out cold and the graphic did not crack or fade. Collar still holds shape after 5 wears. The cut is loose like the listing says, measured flat it matched the chest numbers they posted. Would grab a second one in navy.
21 colourways on one page is a trap. I picked white and they sent me something that looked white in the thumbnail but arrived with a slight cream tint, probably a different style code. Check the code on your order before shipping, otherwise you are gambling. Cotton itself is fine, nothing special.
Ordered the white one last month for $13.58 and got exactly what the pics showed, plain chest graphic, no surprises. Fit is boxy though, I went with my usual M and it hangs loose around the waist. Not mad for the price but size down if you want it closer to the body.
