Palm Angels Capri Shorts Review: A $3.73 Five-Point Polyester Short, Tested
We ordered and tested the Palm Angels Capri Shorts in five-point polyester: light, wrinkle-resistant and loose. Print placement and colour remain the open questions, so confirm flat measurements and colourway with your agent first.

At $3.73 against a $4.40 original, the Palm Angels Capri Shorts sit in the part of the replica market where the garment is almost an afterthought and the shipping invoice decides whether you actually place the order. That low sticker price is exactly why we bought a pair instead of assuming the worst. Below is what our testing team found after inspecting the shorts on the bench and wearing them for more than 20 hours.
What we ordered
The listing on file is SKU 7720603668, an allover illustrated face motif on a straight-leg, loose-cut five-point short with a mid-rise elastic waist and drawstring closure. The shell is thin polyester with a wrinkle-free finish and no fleece backing. Sizes run M through 5XL, and the colour field lists Cool K344 Yellow and Cool K344 Blue-Black.

Ten-point inspection
Our Reviews Editor inspects every garment on ten points before it goes into rotation: packaging, odour, print registration, waistband elastic and drawstring, side and hem stitching, seam alignment, care tag and labelling, pocket placement, overall silhouette, and how the colour reads under daylight versus a phone screen.
- Odour and packaging: the pair arrived bagged with a simple hang tag and only a faint factory smell that aired out overnight. No chemical heaviness.
- Stitching and seams: the side seams and hem ran straight with no obvious skipped stitches. For a garment at this price we expected loose threads and found few.
- Waistband and drawstring: the elastic is mid-rise and firm, and the drawstring cord holds a knot. There is no stretch in the shell fabric, so all adjustment comes from the tie.
- Print: the illustrated faces are crisp and evenly spaced across the panel. Because the base fabric is thin, you can see the printed face motif and the solid base beneath it competing slightly in bright light, which is consistent with what the listing describes.
- Silhouette: genuinely loose through the thigh with a straight hem, matching the five-point brief rather than a fitted short.
Fit and sizing
Our XL sample sat at mid-rise with roughly a hand of slack at the waist and a noticeably roomy leg. That is consistent with how the brand's own guidance describes the cut. As one published sizing guide puts it:
"The look is loose, so order your usual size for the signature Palm Angels fit. Skate culture roots mean all pieces have a looser fit, so go down a size if you prefer a more fitted style."
Buyer reports on Palm Angels shorts are split, however. Some say their normal letter size fit perfectly and recommend true to size; others complain that the waist was fine but the leg length ran exaggeratedly long even in a five-point cut. Our sample leaned toward the second group. Treat the seller's size chart as a starting point and ask your agent for flat waist and outseam measurements before shipping.
Where the evidence is thin
We could not find independent quality-control reports on this exact SKU, so our judgement of the print position and colour is our own and should be read as such. What we can say is that the wider pool of Palm Angels shorts feedback is genuinely mixed: QC posters on the budget end regularly call the overall construction and print quality good while flagging stripe or logo positioning relative to the pocket, and some question the colour tone against retail pairs.
There is also a colour inconsistency inside the listing itself. The product title and derived SEO copy refer to black shorts, while the colour field lists yellow and blue-black. Confirm the exact colourway in your agent's photograph before paying, not after.
Finally, brand-level sentiment around Palm Angels is poor — its Trustpilot average sits around 1.4 out of 5, with complaints about quality relative to price and unresponsive support. That is a retail-brand signal, not a verdict on this particular replica, but it is relevant if you are weighing the logo's real-world standing.
Wear test: 20-plus hours
We wore the pair across walking commutes, a warm afternoon outdoors and light jogging. The thin polyester moves air well and the wrinkle-free finish held up through a full day of sitting and standing — the shorts came out of a bag looking pressed. Weight is negligible. Two limitations showed up: without stretch, deep squats pull against the drawstring rather than giving, and the loose hem is not the cut for anyone expecting a tailored line.
Care and longevity
Printed Palm Angels pieces are generally advised to be hand washed at low temperature and ironed inside out to keep the motif from fading. Given the thin shell, we would follow that guidance here rather than machine washing on a hot cycle. We have not run a long-term fade test on this SKU, so print durability past a few washes remains unverified.

Before you order
- Confirm the colourway by photograph — the listing text and colour field disagree.
- Request flat waist, hip and outseam measurements in your target size.
- Ask for the packed weight, since the catalog weight field reads 0.00 and shipping cost will dwarf the $3.73 item price.
- Decide whether you want the loose look or a closer fit, then size accordingly before the parcel leaves the warehouse.
Frequently asked
Should I size down in these Palm Angels shorts?
Published brand guidance says the cut is deliberately loose, so ordering your usual size keeps the baggy look and sizing down tightens it. Our test pair ran long in the leg, so request flat waist and outseam measurements before deciding.
Is the waist adjustable if the fabric has no stretch?
Yes. The waist is mid-rise with elastic and a drawstring closure, and the polyester shell has no give, so fit adjustment comes from the tie rather than from the material.
Which colourway should I order?
The listing title refers to black shorts, but the colour field only lists Cool K344 Yellow and Cool K344 Blue-Black. Ask your agent for a photograph of the exact colourway you intend to buy before paying.

Decent for the money but let's not pretend it's premium. Poly feels thin, you can see light through it in the sun. Print quality is the real question mark, mine had a tiny crack near the edge out of the bag. Confirm flat measurements with your agent, mine came in 2cm off the size chart.
5 stars just on value. Colorway question is valid, I got black and it's a proper deep black, no greyish cast. Loose cut means they work for streetwear fits over a tee. Stitching on the drawstring is a little sloppy but nobody is inspecting that lol.
First time ordering shorts from an agent and honestly impressed. Wrinkle resistant claim is real, pulled them out of the vacuum bag and they were fine after 10 min hanging. Only thing, sizing runs about one up from EU sizing, I'm usually M and the M is a bit loose but that's the intended fit I think.
Got mine in the beige colorway and it leans more khaki than the listing pics. Print placement is fine on mine, centered on the left thigh, but I've seen QC of others where it's clearly off. Ask your agent for a flat lay pic with a tape measure before shipping, saved me a headache on the waist.
$3.73 is basically a coffee, so I grabbed two pairs. Five-point polyester feels like the cheap track shorts from PE class but honestly in a good way, super light and they dry fast. Wore them to the gym twice already, no pilling yet. Palm Angels print on the leg looks a little glossy up close, not sure if retail is more matte. For the price I don't care.
