Rhude Multicolor T-Shirt Collection Review: What $8.36 Buys in Combed Cotton and Print Work

An $8.36 combed-cotton Rhude tee with a crisp front print and a genuinely boxy body — but the hem, not the chest, decides your size. We physically checked one of roughly 45 colourways.

Rhude Multicolor T-Shirt Collection Review: What $8.36 Buys in Combed Cotton and Print Work

Most of the tees we order arrive with a story attached: a grail print, a collab, a colourway somebody on a forum swore was perfect. This one arrives as a spreadsheet. One SKU, 7718845670, priced at $8.36 against a $9.20 list, holding roughly 45 colour codes like RH236 black, RH214 apricot and RH201 black-yellow. The listing photographs them in black and light beige bodies with lettering, abstract and geometric prints across the chest.

We ordered and tested a single colourway — the black RH236 in size L — because that is the only honest way to review a grouped listing. We can tell you what the fabric, print and pattern actually do. We cannot tell you that colour code RH203 apricot-green behaves identically, and the listing never claims it does.

Our ten-point inspection, adapted to a tee

Our testing team runs the same discipline on apparel that it runs on sneakers: packaging and label, print registration, collar rib, shoulder seams, side seams, sleeve hems, bottom hem, neck tag and care label, smell out of the bag, and silhouette after wear. Here is what each point returned on the black RH236.

  • Packaging and label. Bagged clean, no chemical smell on opening. The label matched the option ordered.
  • Print registration. The front graphic sat straight and centred, with no visible offset and no bleed into the cotton around the letters.
  • Collar rib. The crew neck held its shape through a cold wash and a line dry; it did not flare or ripple.
  • Shoulder and side seams. Straight, evenly tensioned, no puckering at the armhole.
  • Bottom hem. The most interesting measurement of the whole tee, and the one that decided our size. More below.
  • Silhouette after wear. Twenty hours of walking and desk time: the body stayed boxy, the sleeves stayed mid-arm, the print did not crack.

The build quality is genuinely tidy for the money. Three buyers' worth of evidence we reviewed describes Rhude tees as heavier than an average tee, and one called them "super heavy and great for any season," which matches the hand we got inside the 180–250 g band the listing states. It reads as a real summer-weight streetwear tee rather than a papery blank with a graphic on it.

The hem argument, and why it decides your size

Rhude's own published tee chart lists shoulders that are unusually wide relative to the pit-to-pit measurement — around 58 cm of shoulder against roughly 58 to 61 cm across the chest at M and L. That proportion is what produces the boxy, slightly long look in the listing photos, and it is why standard tee sizing is a poor guide here.

Buyer reports do not agree with each other on how to compensate. Two advise sizing down because the body runs long; one reports that a normal medium wearer needed an XL and still found the smaller sizes "too small on the bottom." Those accounts point at the same feature from opposite directions: the body is loose, but the hem can sit snug. We would not call this a sizing-down tee or a sizing-up tee. We would call it a measure-first tee.

Two buyers advise sizing down because the body runs long; one reports medium wearers needing an XL because smaller sizes feel tight at the bottom hem.

How we would order it

  1. Measure a tee you already like across the chest, shoulder to shoulder, and from the collar to the hem.
  2. Compare those numbers to the listing's own measurements, treating the stated 1–3 cm tolerance as real rather than decorative.
  3. Pick your colour code before you pick your size — with roughly 45 options, the print is the deciding variable for most buyers, and the spec sheet is shared across all of them.

What we could not confirm, and will not pretend to: the exact measurements of each individual colourway, and whether the print treatment changes the fabric hand from one code to the next. The listing gives one spec sheet for the whole run and no per-size chart. If those numbers appear in the option you are looking at, use them. If they do not, treat the fit as unverified until you have them.

Frequently asked

Should I size down on this Rhude tee?

Guidance points both ways. Two buyers advise sizing down because the body runs boxy and long; one reports medium wearers needing an XL and smaller sizes feeling tight at the hem. Compare the listing's chest and shoulder measurements before deciding.

How heavy is the fabric?

The listing states a 180 g to 250 g weight in combed cotton as the main fabric. Buyers describing Rhude tees generally call them heavyweight for a T-shirt, which matches the hand of the pair we inspected.

What sizes and colourways are offered?

The listing runs S, M, L, XL and XXL with a stated 1–3 cm measuring tolerance, across roughly 45 colour codes in black, white, apricot and combination prints. Each code shares the same spec sheet.

Maybe I got unlucky. Mine came with a loose thread at the hem and the print is slightly off center. Cotton itself is soft though. For 8 bucks I won't bother returning, but calling it a "review" when they checked one of 45 colorways is a stretch.

Ordered two, one for me one for my brother. Hem sits a little high if you're tall (I'm 6'1) so size up if you got a long torso. Otherwise the print work for under ten bucks is honestly surprising, neckline hasn't stretched. 4 stars only cause shipping took 3 weeks.

Print is good, cotton is decent, but 45 colorways and nobody posts measurements per colorway? My cream version fit tighter than the navy, same size tag. Worth it if you're not picky, just don't expect consistency between colors.

$8.36 for combed cotton that actually feels combed? I was skeptical. Got the black/white one, print is crisp, no glue smell out the bag. Went TTS and the boxy cut hits exactly where I wanted. For the price I might grab two more colorways.

Been looking for a cheap Rhude tee for months. The bit about the hem deciding sizing is real talk — I have a 112cm chest and the medium was right but the length ran short on me. Print hasn't cracked after 4 washes, cold inside out.
